About CarnivoreWatch.org

CarnivoreWatch.org exists to promote public awareness and understanding of the FBI's Carnivore e-mail surveillance system. We support fair information practices, due process, public accountability, and transparency. We oppose censorship and invasion of privacy, and view obscurity as an ineffective means of providing information security.

David E. Sorkin is the publisher of CarnivoreWatch.org. He is an assistant professor at The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, and is affilated with John Marshall's Center for Information Technology and Privacy Law.
